Frequently asked questions about projects, hosting, security, and support.
Direct answers about how Alien Tech Services LLC works, what information helps, and what to expect before an engagement begins.
Questions before you start.
If the answer depends on your environment, contact us with the relevant context.
What types of businesses do you work with?
Alien Tech Services works with organizations that need websites, applications, automation, integrations, hosting, server management, security reviews, or technical guidance. Fit depends on the requirement, scope, timeline, and available access rather than a specific company size.
Do you work with clients outside Washington?
Yes. Alien Tech Services is located in Washington, United States, and can work remotely with businesses elsewhere in the United States and internationally when the service, communication, payment, and legal arrangements are practical.
Can you improve an existing website or application?
Yes. Work can begin with an assessment of the current code, platform, content, database, hosting, integrations, analytics, performance, maintenance history, and security boundaries. The assessment helps determine whether to improve, refactor, migrate, or replace specific parts.
Can you manage an existing VPS or server?
Potentially. A baseline review is needed to confirm ownership, access, operating system, providers, applications, current risks, backups, monitoring, and expected management responsibilities before ongoing service begins.
Do you provide ongoing support?
Ongoing maintenance and support options can be defined for websites, applications, hosting, servers, integrations, and monitoring. The agreement states included systems, coverage, request process, responsibilities, exclusions, and any separate project work.
How are project costs determined?
Costs are based on the agreed scope, complexity, integrations, content, data migration, infrastructure, security requirements, testing, launch responsibilities, documentation, timeline constraints, and support needs. Alien Tech Services does not publish invented prices.
Can you migrate an existing website?
Yes. A migration plan can cover content and files, databases, runtime versions, DNS, certificates, forms, email dependencies, redirects, analytics, backups, rehearsal, launch validation, rollback, and later decommissioning.
Can you integrate existing business systems?
Often, when the systems provide suitable APIs or approved data-exchange methods. Feasibility depends on account access, provider limits, authentication, data rights, field mapping, volumes, failure handling, and the business rules for each system.
How does a security audit work?
The process begins with system-owner authorization, written scope, testing limits, contacts, and evidence requirements. The review then gathers authorized evidence, validates observations, prioritizes findings, documents limitations, and discusses practical remediation.
What information is needed to request a quote?
Provide the service category, whether the system is new or existing, a useful project summary, desired features, current URL when relevant, preferred timeline, budget range, integrations, hosting needs, support expectations, and business contact information. Do not send passwords or secret keys.
Is security testing performed without permission?
No. Security testing is performed only with written authorization from the system owner and within an approved scope, schedule, and safety limits.
Why are hosting plan prices not displayed yet?
Pricing, resources, regions, availability, renewal, and cancellation details remain unpublished until the administrator enters verified plan information. Request current options for a specific workload.
